Worship is not the sound of our voice, but the sound of His voice.
We are so busy intreating His presence: playing instruments, dancing, waving flags and constantly talking, that we miss the fact that all we have to do is yield/surrender to His presence with our hearts open wide.
I am not against playing instruments, singing, dancing, etc. before the Lord. I just want the afore mentioned things to be in response to God’s presence.
WORSHIP CANNOT BE PACKAGED, MANUFACTURED OR SOLD.
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 (NIV) says: “If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have Love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give my body to hardship (KJV states: “though I give my body to be burned.”) that I may boast, but do not have Love, I gain nothing.
Why? Because GOD IS LOVE. 1 JOHN 4:8.
Christine Caine said (I am paraphrasing here) on you tube in 2019 at Bethel Ministries that we have more worship music and worship groups than ever before, but asks where is the healing, deliverance and raising from the dead.
Matthew 6:33: “But seek first the kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
My prayer is to have eyes to see, ears to hear and a heart to understand because it is in the presence of God that we will find our calling, gifts, ministries, etc.
Worship is a posture of humility, an attitude of obedience, a willingness to do what God asks of us (“Not my will, but Thine” Matthew 26:39,42; Mark 14:35,36Luke 22:42). It is Joy of the Lord in our daily tasks, even in the drudgery of our day to day. It is paramount in these dark days we live in. It is powerful. It is God.
You may say this is impossible-Yes in and of ourselves, but Possible in God. Everything is possible with God. Matthew 19:26; Mark 10:27; Luke 18:27.
STAYING IN GOD’S PRESENCE, HAVING A HEART OF WORSHIP AND SHOWING FORTH HIS GLORY IS NOT AN OPTION. Psalm 24.
