What is the secret place? The presence of God. It is that moment when you can “hear” the voice of God so clearly. Do not worry if you don’t understand what you just heard. Just ask God to give you understanding, and He will. That has been my experience, and it can be trusted.
My favorite scripture (at least for today) is Luke 24:45: “Then He opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures.”
Matthew (NIV) 10:27: What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs. The following are things I “heard” upon awakening and/or during the day, and feel I should share them with you. Somehow, it is all related:
1) “I showed you this group for a reason, so that you would know and understand that you can operate only in the sphere I have given you. You are co-workers with them and yet your sphere of influence is different from theirs. You are one because you are one in Me.” John 17; 1Corinthians 12:12-27; Matthew 12:30; Mark 9:38-40; Luke 9:49,50
2) I had heard my pastor sing this song recently, and it just stayed with me. I woke up with with my spirit singing this song. “If I Give it All” – Will Reagan/United Pursuit: Chorus 1: If I give it all to You will You make it all new” (repeat as desired) – Interlude – Chorus 2: “If I open my hands will You fill them again” (repeat as desired) – Interlude – Chorus 1; Chorus 2; Chorus 1. Mark 10:28-31; Luke 18:28-30; Matthew 19:27-29; 1John 2:15-17.
3) This song has been on my heart for days: “Nothing is Impossible” – Rodney Howard-Browne: Nothing is impossible to You, my Lord and King. Nothing is impossible, Creator of all things. You formed the world out of nothing. You formed it by Your hands (My words: Your Words) Nothing is impossible. Nothing is impossible. Oh, nothing is impossible to You. Genesis 1-2:3.
4) Having communion with the Lord, I will “hear” from time to time.: “Eat and do not waste, even eat the “crumbs”. Drink deeply.” John 6:35-69 (Amplified); 16:12-15; 15:26-16:15.
5) I have been asking God about healing. This was His response: Matthew 8:5-13; Luke 7:1-10. Just speak (say) the Word (Jesus) John 1:1-5 ( Parallel Bible: NIV, KJV, NAS, *Amplified); Genesis 1.
6) “To be distracted is to be detracted.” I , honestly had to look both words up in the dictionary. The New Webster’s Encyclopedic Dictionary of the English Language: Distracted: 1) Having the attention diverted; not concentrating. 2) Rendered incapable of behaving, reacting, etc., in a normal manner, as by worry or remorse; disturbed. Detracted: 1) To have had something taken away in part as from value or reputation. 2) To be diverted or distracted.
In other words to take your eyes off Jesus who is the Way, Truth and Light is to go off the course (path), in part or completely, that leads to God. John 14.
7) “There is a difference between falling and falling away.” To “fall” or sin. requires one thing – repentance 1 John 2:1,2. Falling away (rejecting God after walking in Him-The Truth) is another matter completely. Hebrew 6:4-12; 2 Peter 2:1-22; 1 John 5:16-21.
8) The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work. We have a better covenant in Jesus and it is everlasting. Romans 5:12-21; Hebrew 4:14-16; 9:11-28.
