The above is scripture from Hosea (NIV) 4:6.
1 Corinthians 3:1-3: “Brothers and sisters, I could not address you as people who live by the Spirit but as people who are still worldly – mere infants in Christ. I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarrelling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere humans?”
Hebrews 5:11-6:3: “We have much to say about this, but it is hard to make it clear to you because you no longer try to understand. In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil. Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, instruction about cleansing rites, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead and eternal judgement. And God permitting, we will do so.
9/23/2022, the Holy spirit began to give me a list of THINGS TO UNDERSTAND. I wrote these as they were given to me:
- Jealousy: Man is jealous of. God is jealous for. Joel 2:18; Zechariah 1:14-17; 1Corinthians 3:3; Galatians 5:19-21.
- The word, “want” means lack in old (or archaic English). There is no lack in the Kingdom of God. Psalm 23:1; 2Corinthians 9:6-14.
- “Joy” is NOT the same as “Happy”, though we use the words interchangeably. “Happy” is temporary. “Joy” is eternal: Happy: Psalm 68:3; Proverbs 15:13; James 5:13. Joy: 1Chronicle 16:25-27; Psalm 30:11,12; 43; 51:10-12; 199:111,112; Proverbs 10:28; 12:20; Isaiah 35:10; John 15:9-11; Hebrews 12:1-3; James 1:2-4; 1Peter 1:3-9.
- God had a plan before creation when (not if) man sinned (remember, He gave us a free-will because He wanted us to love Him voluntarily, not out of compulsion). John 17:24; Romans 8:18-23; 2 Corinthians 5:14-21; Colossians 1:15-20; 1Peter 1:17-21; Revelation 5; 13:8.
- Making mankind in “Our Image” (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) is NOT the same as making mankind a god. Genesis 1:26-31; 22:4-7; 1Corinthians 11:7-12; 2Corinthians 3:15-18; Colossians 1:15-20; 3:1-11.
- There is one Sin.: Rebelling against/Rejecting God. Sins are the result of Sin. Sin separates us from the presence of God. Since God is Life. Sin leads to death. Romans 5:12-21; 6:15-23; Galatians 5:19-22; 1 Peter 2:24; 3:18; Psalms 130:3,4; Genesis 2:8,9,15-17; James 1:13-15.
- Satan is NOT a god. He is NOT another son. He is a created being (like ourselves). He “fell” because iniquity (wickedness) was found in him. He wanted to be God. Isaiah 14:12-17; Ezekiel 28:11-19; Luke 10:17-20; Hebrew 1; Revelation 12:7-12,17.
- To fear God is not to be afraid of God, but to reverence or have reverence for God. Psalm 33; Leviticus 19:30; Psalm5:7; Colossians 3:22-24.
- To put on the armor of God is to put on Christ. Ephesians 6:10-17; Romans 13:11-14; Galatians 3:26,27; Ephesians 4:21-24.
- God does not take sides. He takes over. Joshua 5:13-15; Acts 10:34-36,44-48.
- Understanding is not the same as Faith. We understand what is seen. Faith is believing what is unseen, Hebrews 11:1,2; 1Corinthians 2:14; Job 42:1-6; Psalms 73:16,17; Luke 24:45; Ephesians 5:15-17.
- Love is not what God does. Love is what God is. 1John 4:7-21.
- The nature of God is seen clearly in the Fruit of the Spirit Galatians 5:22-25.
- God is Life. There is no Life apart from Him. John 1:1-5; 11:24-30; 1John 5:11,12.
- Jesus is the ONLY WAY to God. John 14:6,7.
- Mankind is not about men to the exclusion of women. Mankind refers to human beings (male and female). Genesis 1:26-30.
- We will do even greater things than Jesus did. John14:10-14.
- To be the greatest in the Kingdom of God, you must be willing to serve. Matthew 20:25-28; Mark 10:42-45; John 13:1-17.
- Be willing, not willful. Psalm 40:6-8; 51:10-12; 143:7-10; Daniel 3:8; Matthew 23:37-39; 26:39,42,43; Mark 14:35,36,39,41; Luke 22:41-44; Hebrew10:5-10.
Philippians 3: 15,16: “All of us, then, who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you. Only let us live up to what we have already attained.”
