TWO SONGS, TWO HEARTS, SAME GOD

I had every intention of posting something different, but Holy Spirit had other ideas. Romans 8:27: ” And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.

I awoke with the Holy Spirit prompting me to Look up Luke 1:26-56. ” I have planted this Holy Seed in you, and as a child has to spend time in his mother’s womb, so this seed has its time. You are about to give birth, but you have the heart of Mary (Virgin Mary) and you must be willing to sing her song.” The bottom line was that JESUS MUST BE THE DESIRE OF MY HEART. WE CRY OUT FOR GOD TO GIVE US THE DESIRE OF OUR HEARTS, BUT IS HE THE DESIRE OF OUR HEART? ARE WE WILLING TO GIVE UP/LAY ASIDE OUR DESIRES (IDOLS). Philippians 3:7-14.

He wanted me to read about the angel, Gabriel, telling Mary (a virgin) that she would have a Son and His name would be Jesus. Then He wanted me to read her song. After I did, I was reminded of a Musical I was in many years ago that covered this passage in the Bible. It also covered Jesus’ ministry, His death and resurrection. There were two songs that I want to share with you.

NOTE: It is important that you read the following scriptures before continuing: Luke 1:26-56; Matthew 26:36-46; Mark 14:32-42; Luke 22:39-46.

Holy Spirit emphasized some passages to remember: 1) “Greetings, you are highly favored! The Lord is with you.” 2) “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God.” 3) “…No word from God will ever fail.” 4) Mary’s response: “I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” 5) Elizabeth’s (Mary’s relative and John the Baptist’s mother’s) words to Mary,”…Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!” This was followed by Mary’ s song (proclamation).

SONG #1 : Mary’s Song from the play who’s title alludes me. For reference sake we will call it, The Life of Christ:

Chorus

“My soul does magnify the Lord for He that is worthy has done great things. My soul does magnify the Lord and my spirit does rejoice in God.

Verse 1

“Well the angel came my way just the other day and said to me, “You are blessed among all women. For He that is Mighty has done great things and Holy is His name.

Chorus

Verse 2

I feel so good about this baby. I feel so good, yet I feel a little bit hazy. That the Lord considers me worthy to bear His son. I’m lucky. I’m the chosen one. And my spirit does rejoice in God, my Savior for He that is Worthy has done great things, and it’s good to know that the Lord considers me worthy, I’m a lucky girl this day.

Chorus

(sing each line with various changes in emotions)

I’m having this baby.

I’m having this baby.

I’m having this baby.

I’m having this baby.

I’m having this baby.

I’m having this baby.

SONG #2: What took place in the Garden of Gethsemane:

Jesus: Watch one hour with me.

Disciples: Oh yes, our Lord.

Jesus: Stay just away by My side

Disciples: We will our Lord.

Jesus: For my Hallelujah Days have turned into Blues and Grays, Peter , James and John. Watch with me.

Disciples: We will our Lord.

Jesus: Let this cup pass from My lips. Let Me go around the mountain. Will You walk with me through everything-Yet not let it be My will, but let Your will be done. (To the disciples) Watch with me.

Disciples: We will our Lord.

Jesus: If the trumpet sounded would you sleep?

Disciples: Oh no our Lord.

Jesus and choir: Let this cup pass from my lips. Let Me go around the mountain. Will you walk with me through everything-Yet not let it be My will, but let Your will be done.

Jesus: It is done.

Disciples: It is done.

Jesus: It is done.

Disciples: It is done.

Jesus: It is done.

Matthew 10:32-39; Luke 9:21-26; Matthew 22:2-14; Luke14:16–27.
