The Vilification of God

All scriptures are from NIV unless otherwise stated.

This will be a four part series: Now for PART 1.

PART 1 (INTRODUCTION)

No one has been more vilified in the history of the world than God. No one has been more falsely accused than God. Any negative thing real and/or imagined in our life, we blame God for: “Why would a good God allow…” You fill in the blanks.

Though we think it started in the Garden of Eden, it started before that: Isaiah 14:12-17; Ezekiel 28:11-19; Luke 10:17-20; Revelation 12:1-17.

NOTE-Before we go any further understand that satan is a liar: John 8:42-47. He is also “the accuser of the brethren”: Job 1:6-12; 2:1-10; Zechariah 3:1-7; Revelation 12:10 (KJV; NIV).

Definition of Vilify per the New Webster’s Encyclopedic Dictionary of the English Language: 1) VILIFY: To speak ill of; to defame; slander. 2) DEFAME: To attack the good name or reputation of; slander or libel. 3) SLANDER: Defame a person orally (verbally). 4) LIBEL: Defame by written or printed words, pictures or the like rather than by spoken words.

Genesis 3:1-5. I ask you to read all of Genesis 3 for better understanding.

James 1:13 : “When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He tempt anyone; but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin, and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.” Romans 6:20-23.
