A Different Reality

I will make this brief. I am sure some may be breathing a sigh of relief after last month’s posts.

John 14:6 (NIV): “Jesus answered, “I am the WAY and the TRUTH and the LIFE. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” Read all of John 14.

Note: When I use the term, “Man”, I am referring to Mankind, All human beings.

Christianity is not about man’s theories, opinions or concepts. It is not about man’s race, culture or creed; that comes from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. It is about God, The Father; God, The Son and God, The Holy Spirit; that comes from the Tree of Life.

The two trees are two different realities, entirely, but only the Tree of Life is Truth. When world (Adam and Eve) chose the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, they chose what was false.

We who have chosen of the Tree of Life, which is Jesus, is of a DIFFERENT REALITY.

1 Corinthians 2:14,15 (NIV): “The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. The person with the Spirit makes judgements about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgements, for ‘Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ’.” John 15.

The following are examples of people who were of a DIFFERENT REALITY: Noah, Moses, Abraham, Deborah, David, Elisha, Mary and Joseph, the Disciples, Paul, just to name a few. If you want to know the whole host of others, you will have to READ THE BIBLE. None of these people were “perfect”, but they knew and had a relationship with God. They were misunderstood, mocked and some killed, but because of their obedience we are here with our names written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Hebrew 11 (NIV).

Understand this: To embrace this Different Reality is to be a Different People…People of God. To embrace anything else is to embrace what is false, an Alternate Reality. The way of the world, which is an alternate reality, a lie. And satan is the father of lies. John 8:42-47 (NIV).

We cannot be true representatives of Christ if we do not embrace who He is. 2 Corinthians 5.

Do not think that satan and his “minions” (the world) will take this, lying down. John 15;18-25.

This is not a message of hate/fear. This is a message of Love. This is also a challenge: “God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but the world through Him might be saved. John 3:16,17 (KJV). Read 3:16-21.

Here is the challenge. John 10:14,15 (NIV): “How can they call on the One they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the One of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news.”

Note: Preaching is not merely standing behind a pulpit, proclaiming the Gospel. Our lives should a Living Message of who God is, being prepared in season and out of season. 2 Timothy 4:1-5 (NIV).

The bottom line is this: Is it more important that the world shows you love or that you show them the Love of the Father?

1 John 2:15-17 (NIV): “Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world-the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life-comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.”
