“Yet a time is coming and has now come when true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in Truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is Spirit and His worshipers must worship in Spirit and in Truth”. John 4:23.

John of all the disciples was given an understanding of God’s love and its depth that few people have known. It permeates every book the Holy Spirit gave him to write. John; 1,2,3 John; Revelation.

“The revelation from Jesus Christ which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, who testifies to everything he saw-that is the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it because the time is near. Revelation 1:1-3; 22:6; 2Peter 11:19-21.

I woke up this morning with a song in my heart that I have not sung in decades, O God You are My God:

I went on line and discovered two more songs with the same title. The fantastic thing is that they were all inspired by Psalm 63.

I want to be empowered by the Holy spirit. I want to be changed (transformed, renewed) by the Lord Himself. Romans 8. It can only come from being saturated in the presence of God so that He can increase; so that Jesus in me is what people see instead of me. John 3:26-36.

There are many books that help Christians to grow and mature. If these books are not against our Lord and Savior, they are for Him, but they cannot take precedence over the Word of God, nor can they contend with the Word of God. At this point in my life, I do not want distractions of the words of men when I can have Jesus who is the Word Himself.
